The ALANA Cultural Center at Colgate University is hosting the 5th Annual Social Justice Summit as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration.

Across college campuses, social justice advocates, anti-racism change-makers, and enthusiasts are working to promote justice, drive change, and foster meaningful connections among communities of all backgrounds. This year's summit, themed “Live the Values and Lift Each Other,” invites us to reflect on how our collective work can align with Dr. King’s vision of justice, compassion, and uplifting the community.

The summit is dedicated to fostering a vibrant community of learners and welcomes participants at any level who aspire to become advocates and activists. Our primary focus is to encourage critical inquiry and actionable solutions while offering platforms to address social, educational, and global injustices collaboratively. We aspire to create an inclusive space that thrives on empirical, conceptual, critical, and analytical contributions from students, student leaders, and change agents. Organized in conference style, this summit encourages exploration of different topics and facilitates a networking space for students and professionals alike. Together, we will explore pathways toward creating more inclusive, resilient, and transformative communities that address today's challenges while fulfilling the promise of a better tomorrow for all.

Whether you are new to thinking about social justice issues or ready to act, this summit will serve as a place for student leaders from schools across New York State to dialogue, learn from one another, and connect.
