Friday, June 2, 2023 2pm
About this Event
Dana Arts Center, Lally Ln, Hamilton, NY 13346, USA
We will look closely at some pieces from the holdings of both the Picker Art Gallery and the Longyear Museum of Anthropology. Together, we will explore how we might use them to tell engaging and informative stories about other times, places and peoples. This will be followed by a visit to an exhibition currently in the Picker with one of the students who helped curate it. She will tell us about some of the discoveries she made.
Presented by Liz Marlowe, associate professor of art and art history; chair, department of art and art history; director, museum studies program; and Nick West, co-director of University Museums and curator of the Picker Art Gallery; research affiliate in art and art history.
