Please join us for a special hour with Emmy© Award-winning Vietnamese composer and performer Vân-Ánh Vanessa Võ. Music Tells Tales of Time – New Music with Traditional Music Roots. Among Ms. Vo’s accomplishments are the 2009 Emmy® Award-winning soundtrack for the documentary “Bolinao 52”, which she co-composed and recorded, and the soundtrack for the Sundance best documentary and 2003 Academy Awards® nominee “Daughter from Danang”. Van-Anh also co-composed and recorded for the recent documentary “A Village Called Versailles”—the winner of the New Orleans Film Festival Audience Award. She also has several acclaimed CDs to her credit. Following her Colgate performance, Ms. Võ heads to NYC for a residency with the renowned Kronos Quartet at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
