Survivor Support in New Delhi: Notes from Lived Experience and Smart Governance by Jailekha Zutshi '21

Attend one of two brownbag collaborations between the Center for Women's Studies and Haven for Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) 2019.

In January 2018, Reuters released a survey that ranked India as the world's most unsafe country for women. Aimed at increasing awareness of global sexual violence, this talk will situate Jailekha Zutshi '21's time working with survivors during an internship at a smart governance startup within her time growing up in New Delhi. By identifying the historical and political frameworks and events that influence women's experiences in India, she hopes to demonstrate the degree to which the personal is political.

Lunch is provided, no RSVP is required.
