About this Event
13 Oak Dr., Hamilton, NY 13346
Are you curious about the Office of Sustainability Summer Internship? Join Assistant Director of Sustainability Julia Sparks, Community Garden Manager Beth Roy, and past summer interns to learn about the overall experience of being an intern while staying in Hamilton over the summer.
Applications due: February 16, 2024.
Colgate University’s Office of Sustainability is hiring up to five students for a full-time, paid, 10-week internship this summer. This opportunity splits time between advancing projects in the Office of Sustainability and furthering the mission of the longstanding Colgate Community Garden. Through office projects, interns will hone skills in campus-wide data collection, peer behavior change, team project management, and sustainability communications. During their time supporting the Community Garden, interns will gain experience with community outreach, event planning, and physically-demanding sustainable agriculture. This internship offers a deep dive into the interdisciplinary field of sustainability, with the benefit of creating visible change right here on Colgate’s campus.
Students must be located in Hamilton, N.Y. during the summer to be eligible for this internship. Applications will be accepted on the portal until February 16, 2024. Application requires an updated cover letter and resume. This position is open to all class years, including 2024 graduates.
