Student Open Office Hour - Dean of the College
The vice president and dean of the college enhances students’ academic and personal success by collaborating with students, faculty, and staff to create opportunities for students’ curricular and co- curricular learning. Further, by harnessing the residential nature of Colgate to build community and out-of-class learning opportunities, the dean of the college works to create a holistic student experience. The dean of the college oversees administrative advising, campus safety, residential life, counseling, psychological and health services, student conduct, wellness, leadership and involvement, fraternity and sorority advising, environmental health and safety, emergency management, and other programs on behalf of student learning.
The dean of the college, Dr. Paul J. McLoughlin II, welcomes the opportunity to discuss questions and concerns or to provide advice and counsel. The dean offers weekly office hours and is also available to students by appointment.
