The dean of students encourages and supports students’ success by providing opportunities for co- curricular learning and extracurricular experiences to enhance students’ holistic development. Through collaboration with the ALANA Cultural Center, the Office of LGBTQ+ Initiatives, the Center for Leadership and Student Involvement (CLSI), the Office of the Chaplains, Office of Fraternity and Sorority Advising and the Shaw Wellness Institute, the dean of students assists in curating the student experience at Colgate.

The dean of students, Dorsey Spencer Jr., welcomes the chance to discuss life outside the classroom broadly and embraces opportunities to engage with students regarding their questions, interests or aspirations.
