Soothing Vinyasa Yoga with Lauren Dirvonas '23
Thursday, December 10, 2020 8pm to 9pm
About this Event
“Vinyasa,” Sanskrit for flow, inspires an awareness of the body in its physical sphere throughout movement. This yoga practice rooted in Indian tradition brings a focus to deep stretching in various postures connected by yogic breath. This hour-long sequence with uplifting music maintains positive energy while leaving space for calming restoration. The class concludes with a Savasana meditation to maximize both physical and mental benefits from the practice. All skill levels are welcome, no prior experience is necessary!
About Lauren, from Lauren: I was born and raised in the mountains of Vail, Colorado. As a current sophomore at Colgate, I intend to double major in International Relations and Psychology. My journey with yoga started five years ago. My personal practice became an essential part of my mental, physical, and spiritual health, therefore I decided to obtain my teaching certification to spread the positive benefits of yoga and meditation to others. During my travels throughout India last summer, I received my 200-hour teaching certification with Trimurti Yoga.
