Rhodessa Jones & The Medea Project will visit campus as part of the interdisciplinary project “Uprooting Medea.” Rhodessa Jones — the renowned performer, teacher, and director — founded and directs The Medea Project: Theater for Incarcerated Women, a company “committed to the personal and social transformation of women, now in its 23rd year.” Jones and several company members will give a workshop talk and lead a workshop that will prompt students “to think critically about the vital role of the arts and humanities in community action.”
