The session will be focused on sharing best practices of creating a sense of belonging for LGBTIQA+ and non-binary students on campus, considering the national and regional cultural and political challenges.
Workshop Speaker
Lyosha Gorshkov, (no pronouns) director of LGBTQ+ Initiatives and co-director of Hancock Commons at Colgate University, has been involved in higher education as a tenured faculty member and student affairs administrator. While living in New York, Gorshkov had emerged as one of the vocal leaders and community organizers for the Russian-speaking LGBTIQA+ immigrant community.
