We continue to bear witness to the Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people, which has today claimed the lives of over 28,000, decimated homes and domiciles, and shattered lives and livelihoods.

A panel featuring scholars Dana Olwen and Laura Jafee will address the role that feminist solidarity can play in confronting this violence in both its historic and contemporary formations. Focusing on the promises and peril of feminist solidarity with Palestine, its possibilities, and limitations, they will ask: Where, how, and why does feminist solidarity work, falter, or fail? And what forms of transnational feminist solidarity are necessary to confront multiple and overlapping forms of oppression within and across varying geographies? To address these questions, panelists will reflect on their own positionalities and their solidarity commitments.
