Update: We are moving to our rain location in Little Hall - 203!

Join the Office of Sustainability to paint with pigments created from local plant species or other ingredients found in nature's spring palette. While exploring your artistic side, you will have the opportunity to learn about how an artistic view of nature can inspire sustainable change, the ecological role of native species in our area, and how different types of seasonal plant species found near campus can be sustainably used to make paint.

If you are more interested in the process of making pigments, we will be demonstrating the process of paint-making with plants, bark, soil, and other natural sources. Painting supplies will be provided for students to partake in a creative study break to make a sustainable piece of art for you to take home!

Rain location: Little 203.

This event is hosted by the Sustainability Representatives in collaboration with Professor Margaretha Haughwout as part of the Office of Sustainability’s 13 Days of Green series leading up to Earth Day. View the 2023 13 Days of Green schedule.
