Presentation on Indigenous Education and the Contemporary Wyandot of Anderdon Nation

Elder and Faithkeeper Catherine Tammaro and Elder Michael Odette will present on the different ways the Wyandot of Anderdon uphold and disseminate Wyandot knowledge and culture in the face of colonialism.

Elder Catherine Tammaro will highlight this through her work as a multi-disciplinary artist whose practice spans decades. She is an alumna of the Ontario College of Art and has had a diverse career, multiple exhibits and installations, published written works and presentations and continues her creative practice.

Elder Michael Odette is a Council member for the Wyandot of Anderdon Nation. Through the establishment and plans for Six Points, Chief Odette will focus on education and cultural futurity. Six Points is the first land recovered by the Wyandot of their unseated territory and sits within the early Wyandot village of Toh Roon Toh (Big Rock).
