NASC Colloquium: Conversations Amongst Ourselves
Friday, November 1, 2024 3:30pm to 4:30pm
About this Event
1819 Oak Dr, Hamilton, NY 13346, USA
Presented by Rick Geier, Warren '43 and Lillian Anderson Chair in Chemistry; Director, Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. This colloquium is inspired by the recent NASC division retreat held last May. During the retreat, requests
were made for more frequent opportunities for division-wide communication, including the use of a fall semester colloquium slot for a divisional conversation without the formal resentation typical of our spring session. For those who like the customary data slides, fear not, we will have the usual annual meeting in
the spring. However, this session will be less structured. The division director will make a few opening comments, and then throw it open for questions and discussion. The division director will have some prepared discussion prompts just in case, but they likely won’t be very good so be sure to come with items on your mind to share and discuss. At the very least, the colloquium will give us a moment to get together, share ideas/challenges/inspiration, and further strengthen our community. Our division is strong by the excellence of our faculty, staff, and students, and our ability to work together and learn from each other. I hope you will attend! A NASC division gathering (at 9 East Kendrick) hosted by the Dean’s Office
will follow the colloquium.
