Mr. K and the Traveling Doll

The Colgate University Department of Theater is proud to present Mr. K and the Traveling Doll, an original adaption enacted by students of THEA 257 - Workshop in Children’s Theater. Directed by Adrian Giurgea.

One year before his death, Franz Kafka saw in one of Berlin's parks a girl who was crying because she had lost her doll. Mr. K calms her down by telling her that her doll had gone on a trip and that he, a doll postman, would bring her a letter the next day. For three weeks, Kafka wrote a daily letter for the girl. This story has become one of the great legends of literature.
