Movie Screening: "Hatred" ("Wolyn"), Director, Wojciech Szmarowski, 2016, 150 min., Polish with English subtitles

This film is rarely shown in the US - it is a disturbing, thought-provoking drama that has the potential to spark some conversation, and which has had a tremendous impact on Polish audiences. "Hatred" is about the ethnic cleansing of Poles in Volhynia (Wolyn, in Polish; today in Ukraine) and Eastern Galicia by Ukrainian Insurgent Army in Nazi-occupied Poland, between 1943 and 1945.
