'Modiano's Ghosts: Family History and the Shoah in Dora Bruder': Lawrence D. Kritzman, Edward Tuck Professor of French, Comparative Literature, and Jewish Studies, Dartmouth College. A study of autofiction, post-war memory, and representations of history, this talk will explore the 1997 biography of Dora Bruder, a Jewish girl who went missing during the German occupation of Paris, by Nobel Prize laureate in literature Patrick Modiano.
