John Freeman’s biannual literary magazine Freeman’s gained an international following in just three issues, and the fourth, Freeman’s: Future of New Writing appears this September. The editor of Granta until 2013, Freeman has written How to Read a Novelist, Tales of Two Cities, and the forthcoming Tales of Two Americas, as well as Maps, his debut poetry collection.  His work has been published in The New Yorker, The New York Times, and The Paris Review, among many others. Winner of the James Patterson Pageturner Award for his work as the president of the National Book Critics, Freeman is the executive editor of Literary Hub and teaches at the New School and New York University.
