Living Writers Series: Achy Obejas reading

The Tower of the Antilles is Achy Obejas’ most recent novel. Her works include a story collection (We Came All the Way from Cuba So You Could Dress Like This?) as well as several other novels and poetry. A translator and editor as well as a writer, she has won two Lambda Literary Awards and a Ford Fellowship. She was born in Havana and now lives in Oakland, California, where she directs the MFA in Translation program at Mills College.
