Living Writers presents CJ Hauser. This event is free and open to the public.
CJ Hauser is the author, most recently, of The Crane Wife, a memoir-in-essays that grew out of a viral essay for The Paris Review. Published in July, it was described by The New York Times as an “intellectually vigorous and emotionally resonant account of how a self gets created over time.” Ms. Hauser is also the author of two novels, Family of Origin and The From-Aways, and her work has appeared in Tin House, Narrative, Esquire, The Kenyon Review, The Guardian, and elsewhere. The recipient of an MFA from Brooklyn College and a PhD from Florida State University, she teaches English and creative writing at Colgate University.
