CANCELED - LifeLong Learning Program-Two Heroes and a Holy Fool: Russian Jews Under Stalin

This course looks at the moral dilemmas faced by three Russian Jews on trial for their lives in the conditions of Stalinist Russia. All three were Communists: one was a scientist, one a poet, one a high-placed political figure. Did they change their beliefs when the Stalinist state turned on them?

Facilitator: Alice Nakhimovsky is Distinguished Professor of Jewish Studies and Russian and Eurasian Studies at Colgate, and the author of many books.
