LifeLong Learning Program-Troubadouring and Folk Instruments

This program will provide direct insight into the activity and work of a "professional entertainer." This will include the concept and the development of the unique historically based musical program titled, "I Love NY and I Sing about it!" The instructor became known as "The New York Troubadour." The program will include demonstrations of instruments and a sampling of songs, including audience participation.

Facilitator: Robin Schade holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northern Illinois University. The common denominator in his working life is centered in the field of education and includes the development and presentation of his “New York Songfest”. Robin has recorded two albums and is the editor and author of the music/history book, Songs of New York the Empire State.
