LifeLong Learning Program-"How to Run a Buddhist Monastery (and Lessons for Alternative Communities)"

In this class we will read together from an eighteenth-century constitution of a large-scale
Tibetan Buddhist monastery. We will discuss what organizational techniques made this
institution of 2000 monks possible. We will also consider what lessons if any could be applied
to the building our own alternative societies.
