LifeLong Learning Program-Agricultural Education at Hamilton Central School

Come learn about and explore Hamilton Central School's Agriculture program! Students at HCS are exposed to a variety of courses ranging from: Small Animal Care, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Agricultural Mechanics, Welding, Pre-Veterinary Science, Agri-science, Work Based Learning and 7th/8th Grade Agriculture. Hamilton Central School's Agriculture program has a school garden, attached greenhouse, welding lab, wood shop and many other features to help enhance hands-on, real life skills for students!
The HCS Ag program offers five dual credit college classes, a CTE (Career and Technical Education) graduation endorsement, and the opportunity for students to participate in the FFA Leadership Organization.

Facilitator: Johanna Bossard graduated from Morrisville State College in 2004 with a degree in Equine Breeding Management and has a Master's in Career and Technical Education from Oswego State University. Johanna has been the Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor since 2009. She and her husband own and operate Barbland Dairy, LLC. in Fabius, NY where they milk and care for 2,000 animals and work 5,000 acres of cropland.
