LifeLong Learning Program- "Racial Disparities and Healthcare"
This seminar identifies persistent disparities in health between Black and White Americans and explains how biases in medical care contribute, at least in part, to the poorer health of Black Americans. It considers how both unconscious bias and structural racism impact the quality of medical care.
Presenter: Jack Dovidio is Carl Iver Hovland Professor of Psychology and Public Health Emeritus at Yale University, a Professor Emeritus at Colgate University, and Lead Scientist at Diversity Science (an organization devoted to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion).
