This seminar provides the public a unique view from around the world at undisclosed depths during some of the tensest times of the Cold War. How ordinary men and women rocked the Soviet Union back on its heels while living in an underwater environment that is unimaginable to most.

Presenter: Charlie MacVean, Captain, US Navy (retired) served on four nuclear submarines, was the commander of USS Seawolf and is the recipient of many awards. Jeffrey A. Fischbeck, Captain, US Navy (retired) served on five nuclear submarines and was Commanding Officer of USS La Jolla. He is a graduate of Colgate and has been Professor of Naval Science at Carnegie Mellon University and a senior consultant in international forums for the US Department of Homeland Security.
