Join us for "Learning Race in the Faith: Racial Socialization in a Southern Baptist Youth Group" with Courtney Heath from the sociology and anthropology department.
Based on participant observation and in-depth interviews with white evangelical youth in Mississippi, this work considers how religious and racial learning processes are deeply intertwined for many Americans.
This event is part of the Spring 2026 Division of Social Sciences Luncheon Seminar Series.
Lunch will be provided while supplies last.
