A representative from New York, Katko graduated from Bishop Ludden High School in Syracuse, N.Y., and with a bachelors of arts from Niagara University, and a J.D. from Syracuse University. He is a private practice lawyer; former staff of United States Securities and Exchange Commission, 1991-1995; United States Justice Department, 1995-2014; and elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Fourteenth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2015-January 3, 2023).
