Join us for the Indigenous Nations Festival!

This event is a revisualization of the Native American Arts and Culture Festival that was coordinated through the Native American Studies Program. The change in name represents the opportunity to embrace and celebrate Indigeneity on Turtle Island (North American continent), as well as the other Indigenous identities of Colgate faculty, staff and students, which are oftentimes invisible. This event is focused on incorporating a dialogic approach to center Indigenous voices, where guests are both immersed in culture, and also have the chance to engage with the stories and experiences of Indigenous people.

As part of the event, people will also have the opportunity to purchase hand-crafted items, art, and Indigenous foods throughout the day.

To learn more about becoming a vendor, please send an e-mail to indigenousfestival@colgate.edu.

This event is cosponsored by ALANA Cultural Center, Division of ARts and Humanities, Colgate Arts Council, CORE Communities, Department of Educational Studies, the Office of Equity and Diversity, Department of History, Max A. Shacknai Center for Outreach, Volunteerism, and Education (COVE), Native American and Indigenous Student Alliance, Native American Studies Program, Peace and Conflict Studies Program, Office of the President, Office of the Provost and Dean of the Faculty, Department of Religion, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Office of Sustainability, Department of Theater, University Museums, Division of University Studies, Upstate Institute, and Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies Program.
