Colgate Disability Activists (CDA)'s presentation aims to:

  • educate participants on the need for a more accessible campus culture at Colgate and in the world at large
  • provide an update on the state of accessibility at Colgate and our efforts as a student organization
  • foster a safe space for people who identify as disabled/having disabilities, use OSDS services, or are allies/accomplices.

Workshop Speakers

  • Grace Dow (she/her) is a junior biology major and environmental studies minor. Outside of academic commitments, she is a member of the Senate, co-lead of North Broad Street Mentoring and Colgate Disability Activists, and a member of Sidekicks and Delta Delta Delta. Previously, Grace served on the Student Government Cabinet.
  • Jadan Hand (she/her) is a senior from Auburn, New York, a small city in the Finger Lakes. Jadan is a double major in biology and Spanish. Outside of academic commitments, Jadan is a co-leader for Colgate Disability Activists, and co-president of Colgate Christian Fellowship, University Church Board, and of Colgate's chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, Lambda Xi. Jadan is also the Community Leader (CL) of Pink Haus (102 Broad). When not working or doing Colgate-related activities, you can often find Jadan curled up somewhere with a good book.
