In Phase (student video installation showcase)
Thursday, March 7, 2024 10:30am to 4:30pm
About this Event
Ryan Studio, Hamilton, NY 13346, USA
In Phase reveals fragments of time and material realities using projected displays and time-based media. Some projections investigate local histories and social geographies by mapping Colgate and the town of Hamilton, while others illustrate the process of making and discovery. The use of language, text, still and moving images explores how past intersections of time and memory can maintain a meaningful contemporary presence.
Organized and curated by “Advanced Video Art” (S24, Professor Lodhie), including projects by Film and Media Studies senior majors Kieran Blunnie, John Cremins, Mary Grygier, Vuong Hoang, Ellie Johnston, Hunter Keller, Declan McIntosh, Bethany Neufeld, Izzy Olavarria, and Jake Turtil.
Opening reception will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27.
Please note that weekend hours are dependent on the availability of student monitors. If driving a distance, please contact the department at 315-228-7633 during regular working hours to ensure the gallery will be open. More information at https://www.cliffordgallery.org/
