Join us for the Civil-Military Relations Speakers series, featuring Rebecca West, associate professor and chair in the Department of Political Science and Philosophy at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. Her research in areas such as women in conflict, negotiations between states and factionalized insurgencies, and civil-military relations has been published in outlets including Conflict Management and Peace Science, International Studies Review, and Armed Forces & Society. She currently serves on the editorial boards of International Interactions and International Studies Perspectives. With Dr. Viviana Grieco, she leads the Bridging the Civil-Military Gap project at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Kauffman Foundation.
