The History Department is proud to announce that on April 5, four Colgate History alums, Carrie Blackmore, Morgan Nevins, Sohee Ryuk, and Jack Schnettler (classes of ‘08, ‘10, and ’15, respectively) will share their experiences and insights into where a history degree may lead. They will discuss what they have done since graduation and how a history degree has (or has not) been relevant to the paths they have chosen. They have worked and studied in places as far away as Mozambique and Kazakhstan and as close as Hamilton, NY. Their professional experiences range from legislative correspondent for Senators Tina Smith and Al Franken, program officer for Jhpiego, a nonprofit global international health care organization, and founding proprietor of Good Nature Brewery, a thriving local business. To ensure plenty of opportunity for interaction between alums and current students, each guest will speak for about ten minutes, with Q&A to follow.
