Hielo Negro (Black Ice)

The Department of Theater & the Department of Romance Languages & Literatures are excited to present:

Hielo Negro | Black Ice, a new work by Argentine dance theater artists Luciana Acuña and Luis Biasotto (Grupo Krapp) examines what happens when the temperature exceeds zero and that unimpeachable white dissolves and mixes with the Earth’s hangover.

A play about two artists, two friends and the impossible boundaries of delving into the bowels of contemporary dance. Hielo Negro is the result a residency that took place at Colgate University, Dana Arts Center (February 2019). It premiered in Quito, Ecuador (May 2019) and later at the San Martín Cultural Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina (October 2019).
