Join us in welcoming Andrew Daddio as he presents "Glimpses of Light." The talk and visual presentation follow his burgeoning interest in eastern philosophy and Buddhism, and his personal experiences as he explores and photographically documents different schools of Buddhism and Buddhist monasteries, as well as the life of the Sangha – the monastic community of Buddhist monks and nuns. His travels lead him to Japan, India, and a road trip from Portland, Oregon to San Francisco, California along with two Buddhist monks, and eventually lead to him meeting the Dalai Lama.

Andrew Daddio has been a professional photographer for almost forty years. He was a staff photographer at Rutgers University, ran his own photo studio in Portland, Oregon, was the Colgate University staff photographer for eight years, and then returned to freelancing several years ago. He is the recipient of an N.J. State Council on the Arts fellowship for filmmaking and is the recipient of numerous awards for his still photography.

This event is open to members of the Colgate community.
