About this Event
Join us for a dynamic conversation with award-winning nature photographer James Balog.
For 40 years, photographer James Balog has broken new artistic and conceptual ground on climate change and human modification of nature, the most crucial environmental issues of our era. In 2007, he founded the Extreme Ice Survey (EIS) to reveal the impact of climate change. EIS is the most wide-ranging, ground-based, photographic study of glaciers and ice sheets ever conducted. His images and field work were the basis of the internationally acclaimed documentary, Chasing Ice, which won numerous accolades, including an Emmy, a Sundance award for cinematography, and short-listing for the Academy Awards.
