From Diverse Hometowns to a PWI: Colgate’s Men of Color Experience
Saturday, January 28, 2023 3pm to 3:50pm
About this Event
1819 Oak Dr, Hamilton, NY 13346, USA
Presenters Danny Arias, Fredy Alvarado-Retana, Ian Andrews, and Rhoman Elvis came from very populated and diverse backgrounds, to rural Hamilton New York. When making this shift, they faced immense culture shock. We will be hosting a dialogue where we discuss the men of color’s experience at a PWI, how they navigate resources, and how they’ve made Colgate a “home away from home.”
