In this presentation, Cristian Flores Rebolledo will focus on his contemporary practices in political theatre, with particular emphasis on creative processes that engage with documentary materials and their aesthetic, ethical, and methodological implications. Flores Rebolledo will examine his stage work within the field of political theatre and the memories of the dictatorship and post-dictatorship, as articulated in his trilogy Justicia, Utopía y Militancia (Justice, Utopia, and Militancy). The trilogy comprises the plays Yo maté a Pinochet (I Killed Pinochet), El país sin duelo (The Country Without Mourning), and El hombre que devoraba a las palomas (The Man Who Devoured the Doves).

Flores Rebolledo will also present his most recent project (in progress), Hay donde existe la posibilidad de ver y no ver (There Exists the Possibility of Seeing and Not Seeing), which he defines as a stage rehearsal on disappearance. Building on this latest process, he will explore a new research-creation methodology from the perspective of expanded documentary practice, along with a form of stage writing on memory that departs from the procedures employed in my earlier works. Open to All.
