DESCRIPTION:Join Associate Provost for Sustainability John Pumilio in his f
 avorite spring pastime - birding. Starting near the Colgate Cemetery\, we 
 will walk through the Colgate forests in search of year-long avian residen
 ts in addition to some of the earlier migratory songbirds that have made t
 he return trip from their southern wintering grounds. Check out the 98 spe
 cies identified on Colgate's trails on the eBird list. Along the way\, we 
 will also look out for blooming spring ephemeral wildflowers in the forest
  understory.\n\nThe group will walk at a slow pace and will cover about on
 e mile over the course of the walk. Binoculars will be provided\, but you 
 are encouraged to bring your own\, if you have them. Please wear sturdy wa
 lking shoes and take precautions against ticks. All are welcome regardless
  of skill or experience.\n\nWe will walk rain or shine!\n\nSustainability 
 Passport Program: Colgate staff and faculty can earn one point for their S
 ustainability Passport by participating in this event and logging their at
