Friday, March 7, 2025 12:15pm to 1:15pm
About this Event
13 Oak Dr., Hamilton, NY 13346
Please join Colgate's Associate Provost for Sustainability as he shares his personal experiences working on the Florida Panther Recovery Project in South Florida. At a time when the Florida panther was teetering on the brink of extinction, a small team of biologists, conservationists, and trackers employed extraordinary — and sometimes risky — measures to save this iconic species. Through personal stories, field experiences, and reflections on the people he met along the way, John will provide a firsthand account of the setbacks, the triumphs, and the innovative efforts that helped pull the panther back from the edge of extinction. This presentation offers a unique look at an endangered species recovery effort that remains a powerful case study in wildlife conservation.
Hot wraps by Hamilton Whole Foods will be provided and will include gluten-free, vegan, and nut-free options. Please bring your own reusable water bottle.
