A digital portfolio is no different from a collage hanging in a gallery, a montage playing in a movie, or a sticker collection decorating a water bottle: all require the same dedication, curation, and personal expression. Creative Collage: Portfolio Creation Workshop Series will guide students in reflecting on who they are, both on and offline, the stories they wish to tell about themselves and how to do so in the context of a digital portfolio. Leveraging creative work, whether professionally or personally, is an important component of being a creator. Having a space to display, engage, and delight with those materials grants a sense of ownership in that very identity. Over four sessions spanning September into October, students will be introduced to WordPress, its possibilities and potential to house their digital portfolio, and will develop skills in basic web publishing and design while fostering a sense of community amongst fellow creative individuals on campus.
