Trauma comes in many forms and most people have experienced some sort of trauma during their lives. Trauma affects us all differently, but there are some things we know about the brain that better inform us about what to expect when somebody is traumatized. This course will help you better understand what happens in the brain when somebody endures a trauma and how it may affect the ways that they behave and interact with others.
Presenters: Dawn LaFrance and Michele Passonno work at Haven, Colgate’s sexual violence resource center. Michele has had many years of experience in sexual violence prevention and education. Dawn is a clinical psychologist who specializes in helping people heal from trauma.
