The Colgate University Orchestra, conducted by Marietta Cheng, will perform Copland’s beautiful Appalachian Spring, music which has come to represent and define the sound of American music. in the Colgate Memorial Chapel. Other concert highlights will be Mendelssohn ‘s captivating Fourth Symphony, “Italian”, Mozart’s luminous Third Horn Concerto, and Wagner’s inspiring Prelude to Die Meistersinger.
