Please join us for a “Working with Students in Distress" workshop facilitated by Counseling & Psychological Services. This workshop is designed to help faculty respond to students with mental health difficulties.

It is our experience that faculty want to help students when they are in distress, but they sometimes struggle with the right words and best approaches. The workshop will provide some insight into the mental health struggles of Colgate students and provide practical skills to help faculty navigate challenging interactions.

Counselors will discuss how to recognize the signs of mental health concerns, offer suggestions for what to do in these situations, and introduce referral strategies when a student is struggling.
