Captain Fantastic Film Screening and Q&A with Director Matt Ross

Join Colgate University's Department of Theater and Film and Media Studies Program for a film screening of Captain Fantastic (2016) at Hamilton Theater. Following the film screening, there will be a moderated conversation with special guest, director Matt Ross on the making of Captain Fantastic, his career, influences and approach to filmmaking.

Moderated by Erika Latta (Visiting Assistant Professor of Theater), Paul Lopes (Film and Media Studies Member, Associate Professor of Sociology), and Sean Nevison (General Manager, Hamilton Movie Theater).

An after party will be held at The Library at the Colgate Inn immediately following the moderated discussion.

7:00pm - Screening of Captain Fantastic by Matt Ross
9:00pm - Moderated talk back with the general public with Matt Ross, Erika Latta, Paul Lopes, Sean Nevison
10:00pm - After Party at The Library at the Colgate Inn

Captain Fantastic - In the forests of the Pacific Northwest, a father devoted to raising his six kids with a rigorous physical and intellectual education is forced to leave his paradise and enter the world, challenging his idea of what it means to be a parent.

This event is free and open to the public.
