This session will explore how to be a good bystander and lessons the bystander intervention program while delving into its impact and the importance of using a social justice lens.
Presenters:
Folade Olusanya, class of 2024, is from Waterbury, CT. Folade is studying Biology with a minor in Global, Public & Environmental Health minor. She loves reading and trying new foods. One of Folade’s current personal interests involve Bubble Tea tasting! Folade plans on applying to medical school to hopefully become a psychiatrist and start her own practice. At Colgate, she is involved in SOMAC, Shaw Wellness, and presides over the Impulse Club.
James Clark, class of 2023, is studying biochemistry with a minor in sociology. Around campus, he is a member of Professor Peeler's lab and tutor for Madison Central School. He is originally from Camillus, NY. His advice to his younger self is, “Don't be afraid to let your true self shine. Negative experiences are fleeting, but positive memories are forever.”
