Build Your Own 3D Printer Workshop Series
Presented by The Hub and Thought Into Action
Interested in building a 3D Printer? Have an idea for a new product, design, or tool you’d like to prototype? If so, consider applying for a spot in the Spring 2020 Build Your Own 3D Printer Series!
This five-week series will allow you to take a project concept or idea and develop it into a physical prototype by utilizing a 3D printer that you will build yourself. You’ll learn the basics of 3D modeling, 3D printing preparation (slicing), and 3D printer mechanics. In addition, you’ll gain insight into iterative prototyping as you develop your own concept into a physical object. Applications will be accepted for projects that are unique, creative, and that have strong real-world application.
Although this is a non-credit, extra curricular opportunity, you will be required to attend all 5 sessions and complete a project to keep the printer afterwards.
Applications are due by Monday, February 10, 2020. Apply online here.
