Brown Bag- Is It Different? Historical Oppression and Body Image / Eating Disorders

Popular media often portrays a stereotypical view of what eating disorders "look like". This view often excludes many who do not see themselves reflected. This is a conversation hosted by Director of ALANA, LeAnna Rice, and Campus Dietitian, Deirdre Smith, to help bring awareness and expand perceptions of eating disorders and body image, specifically around race, ethnicity and other marginalized identities. Resources and strategies for providing culturally competent care will be discussed.  Co-sponsored by Shaw Wellness and ALANA.
