Brown Bag with Dr. Merrill Miller
About this Event
Dr Merrill Miller is in her 45th year as Colgate's physician. She will discuss the evolution of women's (and men's) healthcare services and resources at Colgate over the past five decades, including starting the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program and the Shaw Wellness Institute.
Dr. Miller will reflect on her career since college graduation in 1967, including being one of her medical school's five female graduates, her teaching hospital's first female Chief Resident, the first female Director of Health Services at Colgate, the first female physician at Community Memorial Hospital, and the nation's first female team physician of an NCAA Division I football team. Dr Miller was the host of WRCU-FM's "What's Up, Doc?" radio show for 15 years and has been featured in People magazine and Parade magazine. She is the recipient of many awards, most recently being selected as one of the Patriot League's Trailblazers of Distinction.
Our Brown Bag series repeats every Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. These talks are catered, free, and open to all.
