Honest, forthright, and tactful dialogues are perhaps the best way to see the world outside of ourselves and to overcome our own biases. They require astute listening, careful responses, and regular practice. These conversations are more fruitful when they include people from diverse backgrounds.
The Hamilton Area Anti Racism Coalition (HAARC) seeks to engage in dialogue with student social justice advocates to listen, learn, and become “Stronger Together” by bridging the “Town/Gown” divide between college communities and their broader local communities in pursuit of actions we can take together to create more inclusive and welcoming communities for all.
